Reimagining Early Learning for a Limitless Tomorrow
The Council for Children and Families was established in 1995 to teach and support people who care for children from birth to age 8. For more than two decades, we have educated caregivers, teachers, and family members about developmentally appropriate practices, with the main goal of preparing young children to become happy and successful adults.
Child care quality.
We firmly believe that improving the quality of early childhood care will make a significant difference in the lives of children and families and make a profound, lasting contribution to society. We are dedicated to educating family members about ways they can assess the quality of an early childhood program.
Improving quality through the professional development of early childhood teachers.
We work closely with the Council for Professional Recognition to help early childhood teachers earn Child Development Associate (CDA) Credentials. Our unique program, Fast Track CDA, helps CDA candidates complete their coursework, prepare their paperwork, and practice for the final test.
Since the establishment of the Department of Early Learning and its Managed Education and Registry Information Tool (MERIT), we have worked to provide the highest-quality practical training. Our signature correspondence courses are based on the latest research in early childhood education. They are a valuable resource for child care professionals in the Seattle area and throughout the world.
